The ring pessary consists of high-quality silicone. It can be stored at temperatures from 1 to 30 °C protected from UV radiation without contact to reactive media, gas, ozone or mineral oil.
All models where adjusted by compression test in a way that the same handcraft is needed to fold the device independently of the size.
A detailed updated clinical evaluation can be found under Downloads / Clinical Evaluation.
The ring pessary is elastic and can be easily changed by the patient herself. The circumference of the ring is relatively thin. Preferably mild forms of genital prolapse and incontinence are treated by the ring pessary. An intact pelvic floor (also if reduced) is required for this pessary. In addition, it can prevent the development of a stress incontinence by its sub urethral supporting effect.
The maximal uninterrupted period of application is 30 days. It is recommended that the patient changes the pessary herself, i.e. she should remove it every evening and insert it in the morning. The patient should be trained about application / change by a healthcare professional whereby additional treatments (e.g. cremes) should be discussed.
The product must not be used by other patients. The pessary may be cleaned by running water without using any disinfectant.
